SPCC Plans, November 2010 update deadline. WCEC has Professional Engineers in our Missoula, MT and Morris, MN offices to help you meet Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan requirements. The new deadline also applies to farms.
If you store more than 1,320 gallons of an oil product in aboveground containers (tanks or 55 gallon and larger drums) you are required by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to prepare an SPCC Plan. The recent updates to the SPCC regulations requires farms storing over 1,320 gallons of oil product to have a Plan.
Most facilities will require a Plan prepared by a professional engineer. However, if your facility or farm stores less than 10,000 gallons, with no tank larger than 5,000 gallons, you may qualify to complete a self certified SPCC.
For more information or for answers to SPCC requirement questions contact: Blane in our Missoula, MT office at 1-406-549-8487; or contact Gaylen or Ross in our Morris, MN office at 1-800-422-8356. You can also reach each office via email using the form on the Contact page of our website.
